House Hunting Tracking Form

As we get ready for another house-hunting trip to Jávea in early February, we wanted to come up with an easy and consistent way to keep track of the houses we see. In past relocation moves, we’ve never done a great job of capturing the details. After viewing multiple homes, it’s hard to remember which house had which features, what condition it was in, or how it really felt — even with photos or videos. After a while, everything starts to blur together.

This time, we want to do better. Because this relocation is happening over a longer period of time, having a reliable way to track each property and its key details feels especially important. So we put together this house hunting tracking form to help us capture the same information for every house we visit.

We’ve taken this form and put it into the free version of Airtable, which allows us to fill the form in on our phone or tablet as we view houses. We hope that by making it easily accessible and simple to use, we can use it consistently. It also takes all of the information we enter and automatically populates it into a database for easy access and comparison later.

Our form is geared particularly for our situation and the Jávea area, but it’s a good base to make it your own without starting from scratch. We also put this in our templates section so you can make a copy of it and make changes that fit your scenario and/or the place you’re relocating to.
