Alicante Airport: Gateway To The Costa Blanca

As we plan our move to Jávea, we need to figure out where the best airport is for us to travel in to and out of whenever we go on trips. Luckily, there are two each about 75 minutes away. One is Alicante Airport (ALC) and the other is Valencia Airport (VLC). We want to travel through both of them to decide which might be best for us. During this last house hunting trip, we flew in and out of Alicante.

Jávea Area Sunday Markets

On our house hunting trip last week, we decided to check out a couple of local Sunday markets within a 15 minute drive of Jávea. One in the small village of Jésus de Pobre and the other just a bit further down the road in Pedreguer.

Crime and Safety in Jávea

Jávea is widely regarded as a safe residential town, with crime that is overwhelmingly non-violent and mostly limited to opportunistic theft. Policed by the Guardia Civil and Policía Local, the area benefits from regular patrols in residential neighborhoods and along busy areas, particularly during the summer months.
